Det kan bruges i s\u00e5kaldte fermenteringsanl\u00e6g eller biogasanl\u00e6g til at producere biometan.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><strong>Energiafgr\u00f8der<\/strong>Visse plantearter, der dyrkes specifikt til energiproduktion, kan bruges som substrat til produktion af biomethan. Det g\u00e6lder f.eks. majs, gr\u00e6s, lucerne og r\u00f8dbeder. Det g\u00e6lder f.eks. f\u00f8devareaffald, affald fra drikkevareindustrien og affald fra papir- og papirmasseindustrien.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><strong>Spildevandsslam:<\/strong> Spildevandsslam, som er et biprodukt fra spildevandsrensning, kan ogs\u00e5 bruges til produktion af biometan. Under fermenteringsprocessen nedbryder mikroorganismerne biomassen og omdanner den til biogas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Biogassen best\u00e5r hovedsageligt af metan (50-75%), kuldioxid (25-50%) og spor af andre gasser som nitrogen, hydrogen og hydrogensulfid. Fermenteringsprocessen kan tage flere uger til m\u00e5neder, afh\u00e6ngigt af typen af biomasse og forholdene i fermentoren.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"x-text x-text-headline e162-e27 m4i-e m4i-f m4i-j m4i-l m4i-m\"><div class=\"x-text-content\"><div class=\"x-text-content-text\"><h3 class=\"x-text-content-text-primary\">Forberedelse og reng\u00f8ring<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"x-text x-content e162-e28 m4i-x m4i-y m4i-z m4i-10\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Efter anaerob fermentering indeholder den producerede gas metan samt andre urenheder som kuldioxid, vand og svovlforbindelser. Dette kan opn\u00e5s ved hj\u00e6lp af forskellige metoder som f.eks. tryksvingningsadsorption, vandskrubning eller membranseparation.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"x-text x-text-headline e162-e29 m4i-e m4i-f m4i-j m4i-l m4i-m\"><div class=\"x-text-content\"><div class=\"x-text-content-text\"><h3 class=\"x-text-content-text-primary\">Tilf\u00f8rsel og udnyttelse<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"x-text x-content e162-e30 m4i-x m4i-y m4i-z m4i-10\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Den rensede biometan kan transporteres i eksisterende naturgasr\u00f8rledninger og bruges til at generere elektricitet, levere varme eller som br\u00e6ndstof.
